Learn about the Falcon Competitors
Tia Clemens has had a phenomenal start to her sophomore season as last week at the Viking Invitational she went a perfect 5-0 in singles and doubles matches against Duquense, Youngstown State, and Cleveland State. Clemens has not yet lost in singles competition this fall season and is looking to continue her undefeated record and win a Mid-American Conference Championship. Isabella Baker has also had a good start to her sophomore year, in the Eastern Michigan Invitational she placed second in her draw.

Falcons Opening Matchups

  • Tia Clemens will be taking on Buffalo Senior Esmee Andresen who finished with a team-best 23-8 singles record for the Bulls last season. Andresen is a former NJCAA National Champion at Hillsborough Community College.
  • Isabella Baker faces off with Northern Illinois Junior Nataly Ninova who has a career singles record of 41-29. Ninova is known for her dominant record in Doubles competition as she went 18-4 in the Fall/Spring season last year.

Both Clemens and Baker are playing for the chance to become the first fall Mid-American Conference Individual Champion. They each will have a tough road to the finals where they could face off against each other.
