Falcons Drop Hard-Fought Match against Youngstown State, 4-3
PERRYSBURG, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons fell in a close 3-4 loss to the Youngstown State Penguins at Perrysburg Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.
Leticia Fonseca and Lucia Giao took a 6-1 win to start doubles play. Konstantina Adamopoulou and Qianyu Liu clinched the doubles point for the Falcons with a score of 7-6 (7-2).
In singles, the Falcons were able to pick up two more points. Qianyu Liu recorded her second victory of the day with a commanding 6-0, 6-2 victory at No.3 . Junior Leticia Fonseca recorded a hard-fought victory after dropping the first set in a tiebreaker by a score of 6-7(5-7), 6-1, 1-0 (10-1) at the No.6 singles.
