BGSU Tennis Adds Libby Blair for 25-26 Season
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- BGSU Tennis coach Mike Bonnell has announced the signing of Libby Blair for the 2025-2026 season.
The Salem, Oregon native joins the Falcons as a transfer from Samford University, where she played in the 2024-2025 season. She brings a wealth of collegiate tennis experience, having also played at Abilene Christian University in 2023-2024. Blair joins the junior class, consisting of returners Brynn Chaffee, Tia Clemens, and Qianyu Liu.
"We are so excited to be adding Libby Blair to the Falcon's roster this fall," said Head Coach Mike Bonnell. "She knows exactly what college tennis is all about, comes from a great tennis family, has ties to the BG area, and immediately will help our team win."
"When talent and character align, it makes it very exciting to add this player to our team," said Bonnell. "Libby understands what our team is needing, and with her experience, will help us on and off the court. She is going to be a great Falcon."
Libby Blair -- Salem, OR/ Samford University/ LBlair was a standout performer at Abilene Christian University, winning 20 singles matches and 13 doubles matches in her freshman year. She comes from a tennis family, as her mom, Rhonda, was a high school state champion in Oregon, played collegiate tennis at the University of Iowa and coached at The Ohio State University. Her brothers Logan and Judson also played at Biola University and Georgia Southern University, respectively. She comes to BGSU with ties to the school and community, as her grandparents, great aunt and uncle, and a number of her cousins graduated from BGSU.
