BGSU Tennis Improves to 6-2 with 6-1 win against Valparaiso Beacons

VALPARAISO, Ind. – The Orange and Brown started their two-match weekend road-trip with a 6-1 victory over the Valparaiso Beacons. Notably, BGSU has their best start to a season since the 2020-21 season, when the Falcons went 5-3, and included a 6-1 win over Valparaiso.

 
VALPARAISO, Ind. – The Orange and Brown started their two-match weekend road-trip with a 6-1 victory over the Valparaiso Beacons. Notably, BGSU has their best start to a season since the 2020-21 season, when the Falcons went 5-3, and included a 6-1 win over Valparaiso. 

The Falcons started off winning the doubles point, which they have done in all matches so far this spring except for one. Qianyu Liu and Konstantina Adamopoulou took home No. 2 doubles and Lucia Gaio and Leticia Fonseca won No. 3 doubles both by the score of 7-5. 

Bowling Green followed up the success in doubles with two wins at the No. 5 and No.6 singles to put BGSU on the verge of clinching the match. The Beacons were able to extend the match with a win at No.1 singles, before Konstantina Adamopoulou clinched the match for BGSU by a score of 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-5).
