Seven Falcons Earn All-MAC Distinction, Three Win MAC Specialty Awards

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Sprints/jumps/multis coach Reggie Trotter has earned MAC Women's Assistant Coach of the Year honors.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Seven Falcons earned All-MAC honors during the indoor track & field season, while three earned MAC specialty awards.

Two of the individual awards were announced at the conclusion of the MAC Championships, as Reese Reaman won MAC Women's Freshman of the Year honors while head coach Lou Snelling earned MAC Women's Coach of the Year.

Reaman also received first-team All-MAC honors after being on the winning DMR team that beat Toledo by 0.67 seconds and set the meet record. She also finished third in the 800m and was on the seventh-place 4x400m relay squad at the MAC Championships.

Snelling helped lead the Falcons to their first MAC Indoor title since 1999. He also became BGSU's first indoor MAC Coach of the Year since Steve Price that same year. Snelling oversaw a team that also broke four school records throughout the season and had 22 performers earn top 10 marks in program history in 12 different events.

A few days later, it was announced that sprints/jumps/multis coach Reggie Trotter won MAC Women's Assistant Coach of the Year.

Trotter's groups were the backbone to the overall success for the Falcons at the MAC Indoor Championships, scoring 47 of the team's 95 points. He coached triple jumpers Bianca Staples (first-team All-MAC) and Sabrina Imes (second-team All-MAC) to a 1-2 finish in the event, proving to be the turning point of the weekend. He also mentored three individuals who scored in sprints/hurdles and two who scored in the pentathlon.

Trotter becomes the second BGSU assistant coach to win the award, joining former throws coach Derrick Vicars from 2018 who is now in the same position at Michigan State.

The other All-MAC honorees (all on the first team) were Trista Fintel (won the weight throw, runner-up in the shot put), Reagan Campbell (won the DMR, seventh in the 4x400m relay), Rachael Hoover (won the DMR, sixth in the 800m) and Kylee Cubbison (won the DMR, runner-up in the mile, sixth in the 3,000m).
