Erinae Coleman Earns First Career MAC Track Athlete of the Week Honor
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- For the first time in her young career, Erinae Coleman can say she is a MAC Track Athlete of the Week.
The talented freshman sprinter blazed her way to victory in the 60m dash at last week's Silverston Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan in a time of 7.59 seconds.
It was the first meet back for Coleman since the Al Campbell Invitational at Akron just over a month ago, as she missed time with an injury. At that meet, she ran a season-best mark of 7.47 seconds in the event, which is still tied for third in the MAC and top 15 in the region.
Coleman's MAC Track Athlete of the Week award is the first for a Falcon since February 2021 when distance runner Kailee Perry took the honor. The last BGSU sprinter to earn it was Ryen Draper in January of that same year.
