FINAL RESULTS EAST LANSING, Mich. –

On the banks of the Red Cedar River, the BGSU track & field squad notched four individual victories to accentuate their performance at Michigan State's Spartan Invitational.

Running the track events at Ralph Young Field in the shadows of MSU football's Spartan Stadium on a cold, overcast afternoon, Alexis Parchman recorded the lone track win for the Falcons, as she went 12.38 seconds in the 100m dash.

Freshman Erinae Coleman (12.49) was right behind the senior in second place.

The Falcons also placed well in the seeded section of the 800m, as freshmen Rachael Hoover (2:10.16) and Reese Reaman (2:11.39) led the way in second and third place.

Kylee Cubbison notched a PR with a time of 4:25.74 in the seeded race of the 1,500m to notch second, while freshman Amelia Barilla (4:59.43) made her collegiate track debut in the event.

BGSU had the most top 10 performances in the 400m, as Kiersten Franklin (56.02) led the way with a runner-up showing in the field of 23 competitors. Reagan Campbell (57.76) took third while Syerra Greber (58.65 – fourth), Tyyetta Herman (58.92 – sixth) and Ashley Kisor (59.12 – seventh) rounded out the Falcons in the event.

Making her collegiate outdoor debut, Nora Ritting competed in the open sections of both the 1,500m (5:08.34) and 800m (2:35.14).

Returning to East Lansing for the first time since transferring to Bowling Green, Madison Foster competed in the 3,000m steeplechase for the first time in her career and took fourth (11:24.77).

Morgan Patterson (14.39) was BGSU's best finisher in the 100m hurdles (third), while Christabelle Obi (1:05.04) took fifth in the 400m hurdles.

The lone Falcon relay was the 4x100, and the quartet of Patterson, Parchman, Campbell and Coleman were runner-up (46.72).

The other three BGSU victories took place in the field events, with Trista Fintel taking the win in the shot put (14.43m) on the grass field with Spartan Stadium and MSU basketball's Breslin Center looming on both sides.

Other notable performances in the throws were Karma Williams' (41.24m) runner-up effort in the invite section of the discus, Lane Anderson's fourth place showing in the shot put (13.60m) and Sierra Brinson placing fifth in both the shot put (13.17m) and discus open (43.26m).

Competing inside historic Jenison Fieldhouse that was once home to the Michigan State basketball team to begin the day, Bianca Staples came away victorious in both the long jump (5.58m – PR) and triple jump (11.60m).

While MSU great Magic Johnson once flashed his athletic abilities inside the building, it was the BGSU high jumpers that did the same. Katherine Mendenhall (1.65m) leapt to a runner-up finish, while Jenna Lucas (1.60m) tied for fourth.

In what has been a multi-year injury recovery for Jaden Carey, the sophomore and former competitive dancer made her collegiate debut and placed third with a jump of 1.65m.
