Track and Field Lands 22 on Academic All-MAC Team
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Mid-American Conference announced Wednesday (June 6) the 2024 Women's Track and Field Academic All-MAC Team. A total of 178 student athletes were named to this year's squad, 22 of those are from Bowling Green who finished in ninth place at the MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
Bowling Green recorded the second highest total in the conference with 22 honorees, leading the way is Kent State with 29 student-athletes, while Miami (Ohio) had 21 selections.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for the particular sport. First-year students and any transfer in their first residence are not eligible for the award.
