FINAL RESULTS BOWLING GREEN, Ohio –

The energy was high inside BGSU's Perry Fieldhouse for the Tom Wright Open that served as the track & field program's indoor season-opener, as the Falcons raced to four top 10 individual program marks.

Competing against Ball State and Cleveland State, Bowling Green came away victorious in 10 of the 11 events they participated in.

"That was one of the things we talked about coming in [was] just making sure we created that energy," head coach Lou Snelling Said. "It's not anyone else's responsibility, it's our responsibility. The women did a fantastic job with making it happen."

Making her collegiate debut, Erinae Coleman came away with the 60m title in a time of 7.53. That mark tied for the fifth-fastest in BGSU history and was the best since Dorresha Green's 7.50 in 2016.

The Falcons went 1-2-3 in the 200m from Alexis Parchman (25.51), Kiera Bonds (25.69) and Coleman (26.68). Bonds' time marked a PR.

Kiersten Franklin, a transfer from Division II Cedarville University, won the 300m with a mark of 39.03 which is the second-best time in BGSU history and just 0.03 off Ryen Draper's record set in 2019.

Ashley Kisor placed first in the 600m with a PR time of 1:38.51 that was the seventh-best in program history. Raegan Burkey followed in second (1:39.23).

In the 60m hurdles, DaMya Barker came away victorious in 8.61 seconds, which was not only a PR but the fourth-quickest time in program history.

Trista Fintel, a seven-time Division II All-American and 2023 NCAA Division II Indoor National champion in the shot put, competed in her first meet as a Division I athlete and won both the weight throw (17.15m) and shot put (15.02m). Lane Anderson finished second in the shot put (13.35m), which tied for the highest placement in any event in her career.

BG's only competitor in the high jump and triple jump was Bianca Staples, and she came away victorious in both events. Staples' high jump mark of 1.74m tied a PR that was set at last year's Tom Wright Open. Additionally, she went 11.82m in the triple jump.

Bonds placed second in the long jump (5.77m) as the Falcons' lone competitor, which also tied a PR.

The 4x400m relay squad of Christabelle Obi, Kisor, Barker and Franklin put the icing on the cake with a victory and a mark of 3:50.86 that dominated second-place Ball State by about 11 seconds.
