Zack Durr Named Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Operations
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The BGSU cross country/track & field program has named Zack Durr as director of operations, effective immediately.
Durr brings a strong background in event management, logistics and leadership to BGSU. Recently, he earned his bachelor's in physical education from Vermont State University at Castleton, where he captained the men's track & field team.
His leadership extended beyond the track. As an undergraduate, Durr served as president of Castleton's senior class, the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) and vice president of the Student Government Association. He also represented over 4,000 student-athletes on the Division III SAAC, contributing to legislative discussions on student-athlete well-being, NIL and amateurism.
Professionally, Durr gained experience coordinating travel, scheduling and event operations with NCAA Women's Basketball. At the 2024 College Basketball Academy, he managed logistics for over 45 participants and streamlined transportation and registration processes. During the summer of 2022, he interned for Syracuse's marketing department and oversaw marketing efforts for volleyball.

Hailing from Oneida, N.Y., Durr holds a Gold Coaching License from USA Basketball and an American Sport Education Program Coaching Certification. He has also served as treasurer of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes – Castleton University Chapter.
