Reggie Trotter Wins MAC Women's Assistant Coach of the Year, Seven Falcons Earn All-MAC Distinction

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Sprints/jumps/multis coach Reggie Trotter has earned MAC Women's Assistant Coach of the Year honors.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Sprints/jumps/multis coach Reggie Trotter has won MAC Women's Assistant Coach of the Year, while seven Falcons have earned All-MAC honors.

Trotter's groups were the backbone to the overall success for the Falcons at the MAC Indoor Championships in which they won for the first time since 1999, scoring 47 of the team's 95 points.

He coached triple jumpers Bianca Staples (first-team All-MAC) and Sabrina Imes (second-team All-MAC) to a 1-2 finish in the event, proving to be the turning point of the weekend. He also mentored three individuals who scored in sprints/hurdles and two who scored in the pentathlon.

Trotter becomes the second BGSU assistant coach to win the award, joining former throws coach Derrick Vicars from 2018 who is now in the same position at Michigan State.

Now in his second season at Bowling Green, Trotter previously spent the previous four years coaching at UCLA and helping guide five PAC-12 scorers in the high jump as well as 28 regional qualifiers, 15 national qualifiers and four first-team All-Americans in the sprints.

The other All-MAC honorees (all on the first team) were Trista Fintel (won the weight throw, runner-up in the shot put), Reese Reaman (won the DMR, third in the 800m, seventh in the 4x400m relay), Reagan Campbell (won the DMR, seventh in the 4x400m relay), Rachael Hoover (won the DMR, sixth in the 800m) and Kylee Cubbison (won the DMR, runner-up in the mile, sixth in the 3,000m).
