BGSU Cross Country/Track & Field Signs Five to 2025-26 Roster

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The BGSU cross country/track & field programs have added five newcomers who will compete on next season's teams.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The BGSU cross country/track & field programs have added five newcomers who will compete on next season's teams.

"This is a positive start to our 2025 recruiting class," head cross country/track & field coach Lou Snelling said. "Our vision for recruiting revolves around our team values. We seek athletes that have athletic vision, understand the importance of lifestyle, value a positive team environment and team perception and are strong team leaders. These student-athletes share our values. We look forward to continuing to build this class to an even more balanced and talented group over the next many months."

Marissa Boone
Distance/Middle Distance
Woodridge High School (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio)

1,600m: 5:03.94

"Marissa is a middle distance athlete that comes from a program with a rich tradition of team success and family that values hard work. She will be an immediate fit in both of those regards." – Coach Snelling 

Anna Buddelmeyer

Ottawa-Glandorf High School (Ottawa, Ohio)

High School PRs:
1,600m: 5:02.04 
3,200m: 11:10.58 
5K XC: 18:23.8 

"Anna is a true distance athlete that has had many impressive moments in 2024 as a local product. I look forward to watching her develop in her time at Bowling Green. She has the potential to follow in the footsteps of some of our greatest Falcons." – Coach Snelling 

Delaney Jones

West Liberty-Salem High School (West Liberty, Ohio)

Sydney Williams

Hammer Throw: 131'8" 
Weight Throw: 45'4" 

"Sydney will be a specialist in weight and hammer throw events for us. She has a good base and feel for the events and will like to develop into another highly competitive Bowling Green thrower." – Throws Coach Marcus Myers 

Elizabeth Wilson
Throws 
Greater Latrobe Senior High School (Latrobe, Pa.)

High School PR:
Javelin: 35.02m 

"Elizabeth will add to our competitive depth in our throws group at the MAC level. She has a tremendous work ethic and vision that I'm excited to see develop over the next 4 years." – Coach Myers
