Women Place First and Men Finish Sixth while Hosting Falcon Invitational
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green men's and women's cross-country teams raced a strong finish at the Falcon Invite which was hosted by Bowling Green. Notably, on the women's side, the Falcons finished in first place for the second year in a row. While, on the men's side, BGSU finished sixth overall.
How It Happened
The meet was held on a beautiful fall afternoon and was a little warmer than it had been in recent days in Bowling Green. In the women's 6k, Bowling Green had four women finish within the top 10 to help secure a first-place finish and a score of 38. Junior Kylee Cubbison led all BG racers with a second finish running a 20:52.20. Freshman Reese Reaman and Lexi Panning finished seventh and eighth at 21:35.40 and 21:38.70 in their first time running in the race in their collegiate careers. Junior Regina Rose rounded out the top 10 finishers from Bowling Green with a 21:49.40 finish for tenth place.
On the men's side in the 8k, the men finished in sixth place ahead of fellow MAC school Ohio. Notably, BGSU had two finishers within the top 30 runner. Sophomores Micah Bentley and Ben Myers finished at 24th and 25thplace with scores of 26:20.70 and 26:23.80.

The Falcons will now turn their attention to the MAC Championship hosted by Ball State in Muncie, Ind. on Nov. 2.
