    Mental Health First Aid TrainingRegistration: https://bgsu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3aNHRMGUCAPJGgmMental Health First Aid is a skills-based training that teaches people how to identify, understand, and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge in adults ages 18 and over. The evidence behind the program demonstrates that it builds mental health literacy, providing an action plan that teaches people to identify and address a potential mental health or substance use challenge safely and responsibly.Blended Two-Day Training: Oct. 3 & 10 | 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM | Jerome Library 142Blended One-Day Training: Nov. 15 | 9 AM – 3:15 PM | Bowen-Thompson Student Union 316Higher Education Specific Training: Dec. 19 | 9 AM– 5:30 PM | Bowen-Thompson Student Union 315 Full in-person training specific for the higher education settingVirtual Blended Training: Jan. 9 & 10, 2025 | 9 AM – 12:15 PM | ZoomSkills-based training that teaches people how to identify, understand, and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge in adults ages 18 and over. Blended Course: 2-hour pre-work, 7-hour in-person instructor-led class. An on-call counselor is available at 419-372-2081 for crisis situations from 8:00 a.m. to 5 pm Monday-Friday. You can also utilize the Wood County Crisis Line at 419-502-4673 after Counseling Center business hours. The Crisis Text Line is also available. Text HOME to 741741 for a crisis counselor or text STEVE to 741741 for a culturally competent crisis counselor.
