Hosted by the African Student Association, this year’s signature event transforms the BTSU Multipurpose Room 228 into a vibrant African wedding celebration complete with colorful décor, music, food, and dance. Guests will experience a one-of-a-kind night of tradition and comedy as African traditions take center stage.The highlight of the evening will be a live wedding ceremony featuring our very own Ashley, ASA’s Event Coordinator, as the bride. But here’s the twist — her groom will remain a mystery until the night of the event! Guests will watch the full wedding unfold, from traditional family entrances and the exchange of gifts to comedic negotiations and the dramatics from our MC's, bringing African wedding customs to life in an interactive and entertaining way.Throughout the evening, attendees can enjoy a buffet-style dinner featuring African-inspired cuisine, dance along with the DJ, and take pictures at our themed photo booth.
