Falcons' Match at IU Indy Postponed; Will Resume Saturday Morning
The Bowling Green State University men's soccer team's match at Indiana University Indianapolis on Friday evening (Aug. 30) has been postponed. The match will be resumed on Saturday morning (Aug. 31) at 9:30 a.m. at Michael A. Carroll Stadium in Indianapolis.
The Falcons took a 2-1 halftime lead on goals by Trace Terry and Alberto Anaya Friday evening. Early in the second half, the teams waited out a weather delay of approximately 45 minutes. The Falcons and Jaguars returned to the pitch and played approximately 10 more minutes before another weather delay ensued.
Approximately 90 minutes into the second delay, with heavy rain and lightning continuing, the decision was made to postpone the match until Saturday morning. It will be resumed with BGSU holding that 2-1 lead and 31:20 remaining in the second half.
