Serving as Associate Director for Strategic Communications, Cihon is currently in his 29th year in the athletic communications office.
- Coaches Show Returns For First Show Of 2025, Featuring Todd Simon, Curtis CarrBOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The weekly Falcons Nest Coaches Show presented by Fricker's, returns Monday night (Jan. 6) on Falcon Sports Radio Network stations. Bowling Green head men's basketball coach Todd Simon will join the "Voice of the Falcons" Todd Walker with a previously recorded segment at 6 p.m. due to men's basketball travel. - BGSU Head Baseball Coach Kyle Hallock To Be Inducted Into Kent State Varsity K Hall of FameKENT, Ohio - Kent State University announced their 2024 Varsity K Athletics Hall of Fame class on Friday (Nov. 22). BGSU Baseball Head Coach Kyle Hallock will be one of the eight inductees. A pitcher for the Golden Flashes from 2008-11, Hallock was named the 2011 MAC Pitcher of the Year and earned All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball and CollegeBaseballInsider.com.
- BGSU Announces “Campaign for Our Future” to Enhance Baseball FacilityBOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green State University Athletics is excited to publicly announce a campaign to raise funds to support enhancements at Steller Field. Through generous philanthropic gifts to the Steller Field Improvement Fund, donors will be able to support the installation of a new synthetic turf playing surface and perimeter fencing, enhancing the BGSU baseball team's ability to train and compete throughout the year.

The Falcons and Cardinals are set for a 2 p.m. tip inside Worthen Arena. The game will be available to stream on ESPN+ with Tood Walker having the radio call on WFRO Eagle 99 for the Falcons.
- Falcons Overcome First Half Deficit For First MAC Win In Road Victory Over WMUKALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team picked up their first MAC win, and first true road win, of the season, with an 83-79 victory over Western Michigan Tuesday night (Jan. 7) in Kalamazoo, Mich. The Falcons fell behind by as many as 14 in the first half, but an 11-1 stretch to close the first half pulled Bowling Green within four, 42-38. The Falcons continued to press forward in the second half, capturing the 83-79 final down the stretch. Bowling Green overcame a 14-point deficit in the win, the largest comeback win of the season so far for the Orange and Brown. The win puts the Falcons at 1-1 in the early going of the MAC schedule.

- Falcons Land Seven On Academic All-MAC TeamCLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Monday morning (Dec. 30) the 2024 Volleyball Academic All-MAC Team. A total of 83 student-athletes were named across the conference with Bowling Green totaling seven. Ball State led the way in the MAC with 10, followed closely by Western Michigan's nine and Toledo's eight. The Falcons were one of six teams in the MAC with seven honorees. Bowling Green has now had at least seven student-athletes named Academic All-MAC in each of the last nine seasons.
