MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced the Dick Howser Trophy National Player of the Week awards presented by The Game Headwear Tuesday afternoon (April 22) just before BGSU's game against Michigan. Of those named, Bowling Green's Gunner Antillon earned National Co-Hitter of the Week alongside Notre Dame's sophomore catcher Carson Tinney. The NCBWA Board reviews candidates from each Division I Conference and names winners each Tuesday throughout the season. For Antillon, the accolade makes his third of the week after being the MAC Player of the Week and the Brooks Wallace Award Player of the Week, which is presented to the nation's most outstanding shortstop.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team traveled north to Ann Arbor, Mich. to take on the Michigan Wolverines Tuesday (April 22). The Falcons and Wolverines battled through the first six innings, including a two-run sixth for Bowling Green, with the score at 4-2. However, Michigan tallied five runs between the seventh and eighth innings to move ahead for the eventual 9-2 final score. The loss moved BGSU to 25-14 on the season going into the MAC series this weekend against Eastern Michigan.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The College Baseball Foundation announced this week's recipients of their weekly awards Tuesday afternoon (April 22). This week the Brooks Wallace Award Player of the Week, presented to the nation's most outstanding shortstop, was earned by Bowling Green's Gunner Antillon. This is Antillon's first national award after earning MAC Player of the Week Monday (April 21). Antillon joins DJ Newman as BGSU players this season to be recognized by the College Baseball Foundation. Newman was named the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Week on March 18.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team will take on teams from the state of Michigan this week, starting on the road with the University of Michigan on Tuesday (April 22) before a weekend series against Eastern Michigan at home. BGSU's first game, being against the Michigan Wolverines, is set for a 4 p.m. start in Ann Arbor on Big Ten Network Plus. From there, the Falcons will be back at home, hosting Eastern Michigan in a three-game series starting on Friday (April 25). Friday is currently set for a 3 p.m. start before 1 p.m. first pitches on Saturday and Sunday (April 26-27). The game on Sunday is set to be on BCSN with a simulcast on ESPN+. CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the MAC Players and Pitcher of the Week Monday afternoon (April 21). Of those named, Gunner Antillon earned the Player of the Week honor. This marks the first honor of Antillon's BGSU career while being the third for the Falcons after Brady Birchmeier was named MAC Co-Player of the Week on March 17 and Connar Penrod earned MAC Pitcher of the Week on March 31.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team concluded the series against Ball State on Saturday (April 19). After combining for 41 runs on Friday (April 18), the Falcon and Cardinal bats went back to work on Saturday, maintaining the momentum. In a back-and-forth game the two teams combined for 28 runs, but a five-run ninth inning for BSU made the difference in the 16-12 final score. The result moves Bowling Green to 25-13 on the season while being 13-8 within the Mid-American Conference.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team took on the Ball State Cardinals on Friday (April 18) in a slugfest. The two teams combined for 41 runs and 44 hits over the course of the nine innings with Ball State pulling out a 23-18 final score. The sixth inning was the only frame without a run scored in the offensive battle. The two teams will return to Steller Field on Saturday (April 19) for a newly adjusted 2 p.m. start for the rubber match.

Ball State opened the game with a solo home run, but a pair of runs in both the third and fourth innings put the Falcons in the driver's seat, not giving up the lead for the rest of the game. The win moves Bowling Green to 25-11 on the season while being 13-6 within the Mid-American Conference. BGSU and Ball State will continue the series on Friday (April 18) with a 1 p.m. start.
