Bowling Green Releases 2025 Baseball Schedule, Headlined By Hosting Notre Dame
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University baseball team and Head Coach Kyle Hallock announced the schedule for the upcoming 2025 schedule. The Falcons will be embarking on their fifth season under Coach Hallock after going 33-20 a year ago with a 24-6 standing within the Mid-American Conference, capturing the Regular Season MAC Championship. The 2024 schedule is set to see 25 non-conference games, against 14 different non-conference opponents, and 30 conference contests for a total of 55 games on the schedule this season.
The Falcons first home game is set for March 11, hosting Tiffin in a 3 p.m. first pitch. The game against Tiffin will be the first of seven home games scheduled in the month of March, hosting Purdue Fort Wayne, Dayton, Kent State and Youngstown State over the course of the month. In total, Bowling Green is set for 21 home games, including hosting the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on May 11 at Steller Field. This year's annual Fifth Third Field game will be on May 2.

We look forward to competing against strong RPI programs and conferences in preparation for another competitive MAC season."
The Non-Conference Schedule
The season for the Falcons will begin with 14 road games with 11 of those being non-conference. The 2025 season will start in the same place as 2024, playing a three-game series in Murfreesboro, Tenn. against Middle Tennessee State on Feb. 14-16. The first midweek game of the season will be at Cincinnati on Feb.18.
From there, the Falcons will shift to South Carolina, facing USC Upstate on Feb. 21 and 23 with a game against Presbyterian between on Feb. 22. Last season, USC Upstate advanced to the Big South Championship while Presbyterian won the Big South regular season title and was eliminated in the tournament by USC Upstate.
The midweek will resume at Butler on Feb. 25, the first leg of a home-and-home that will come to Bowling Green on May 6. The weekend games will pick back up on Feb. 28 with a three-game series against Southern Illinois. The final non-conference test for BGSU before MAC play starts will be on March 5 on the road against Dayton, the first of a home-and-home with the Flyers coming to Steller Field on March 19.
With the conference season beginning on March 7, the non-conference schedule will shift to midweek matchups. The Falcons will begin at home with Tiffin on March 11. Purdue Fort Wayne will come to Bowling Green on March 18 to start a home-and-home with the road game on April 15. The Penguins of Youngstown State will visit Steller Field on March 25 with the Falcons going to Youngstown on April 9.
The rest of the non-conference schedule will contain Michigan State, Michigan and Notre Dame as well as one non-conference game against Toledo. BGSU will head to East Lansing on April 2 before going to Ann Arbor on April 22. The Falcons and Fighting Irish will play a series from May 9-11. The first two games will be in South Bend before Notre Dame comes to Bowling Green on May 11 to conclude the non-conference schedule.
The MAC Schedule
The Mid-American Conference slate will start for the Falcons on March 7-9 with a series in Athens, Ohio against the Ohio Bobcats. The conference schedule continues on the road at Akron on March 14-16 before the first home MAC series of the season for Bowling Green, hosting the Kent State Golden Flashes on March 21-23.
The Falcons will alternate home and away MAC series for the four weekends. The road trips will include going to Mount Pleasant against Central Michigan on March 28-30 and to Kalamazoo against Western Michigan on April 11-13. As for the home series, Bowling Green will host the Miami RedHawks from April 4-6 as well as the Ball State Cardinals on April 17-19.
After hosting Ball State, the Falcons will remain at home for a series against Eastern Michigan from April 25-27 before heading on the road for the Battle of I-75 from May 2-4. The game on May 2 will mark the annual game at Fifth Third Field. BGSU will conclude the conference schedule and the regular season at home against Northern Illinois from May 15-17 with the MAC Tournament starting on May 21.

Of those named, Bowling Green had 10 players named to the list, tied for the fourth-most in the league with seven teams having 10 or more. - Wright, Penrod Named To ABCA/Rawlings All-East Region First TeamGREENSBORO, N.C. – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Rawlings announced the NCAA Division I All-Region Teams for all eight regions Tuesday morning (June 10). Of those named, both Garrett Wright and Connar Penrod earned First Team All-East Region honors for Bowling Green. This marks the first All-Region honor for both Wright and Penrod.
- BGSU Baseball Lands Four On CSC Academic All-District® TeamBOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Four members of the Bowling Green State University baseball team have been named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA). Gavin Ganun, Luke Krouse, Landon Willeman and Garrett Wright all were named to the team with Wright being selected as a finalist for CSC Academic All-America status. The Academic All-America teams will be announced on July 1. As for BGSU, the four selections are the second-most for the Falcons in a single season in program history behind only last year's five recipients.
- Falcons Break Multiple Records In Season Finale At MAC TournamentAVON, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team concluded the 2025 campaign on Thursday (May 22) in the MAC Tournament. The Falcons first played Toledo in a game that started at 9 a.m., paused at 10:25 a.m. for weather and then resumed at 5 p.m., going to a 14-12 final. BGSU then turned to Eastern Michigan, rallying back in the ninth inning to force extras, but the Eagles took the game in the 10th with a 10-7 final score to conclude the Bowling Green season at 33-21.
