- Gavin Ganun’s Two Home Runs Fuel BGSU Comeback As Falcons Win In ExtrasMURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team picked up the series win on Saturday (Feb. 15) with a come-from-behind victory over Middle Tennessee. After falling behind 8-1 through six innings, the Orange and Brown worked inning-by-inning to claw their way back in, forcing extras before taking the 12-9 final in 11 innings. With the win, the Falcons exit the weekend with a 2-1 record, their best opening weekend record in three years.
- Tuesday Baseball Against Cincinnati CanceledBOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Due to current and anticipated weather and conditions, Tuesday's (Feb. 18) baseball against the University of Cincinnati has been canceled. At this time, no makeup date has been set for the contest. The Falcons are still scheduled to play Middle Tennessee on Saturday (Feb. 15) at 4 p.m EST to conclude the opening series of the season.
- BGSU Baseball Splits Opening Day Doubleheader With Middle TennesseeMURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team began the 2025 season with a doubleheader against Middle Tennessee on Friday (Feb. 14). The Falcons and Blue Raiders split the doubleheader on a day that included 31 total runs scored. After being held scoreless in the first game, Bowling Green battled back to claim the second game in a 7-6 final. The series will conclude later this weekend with the exact day and time dependent on the weather. As of now, both BGSU and MTSU hold 1-1 records on the season ahead of the yet to be determined rubber match.
- SCHEDULE CHANGE: Falcons Embark On 2025 Season With Three-Game Weekend Series At MTSUMURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team will open the 2025 campaign in the same manner as the 2024 season, beginning with a road trip to Middle Tennessee. The Falcons and Blue Raiders are set for a three-game weekend series at Reese Smith Jr. Field. Friday's (Feb. 14) season opener is set for a 4 p.m. EST start while Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 15-16) will both be 2 p.m. EST first pitches. The series will mark the first three in a string of 15-straight road games to open the season for the Orange and Brown.
- MAC Baseball Preseason Coaches Poll Places Falcons FourthCLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Wednesday morning (Feb. 12) the MAC Baseball Preseason Poll for the upcoming 2025 season. Bowling Green was selected to finish fourth in the MAC, receiving one first place vote as well as two votes to win the MAC Tournament. In the poll, the Falcons tailed Ball State, Kent State and Miami (OH). The Falcons are coming off a Regular Season MAC Championship in 2024.
- Four Falcon Coaches Set To Join Full Coaches Show Slate Monday NightBOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The weekly Falcons Nest Coaches Show presented by Fricker's, returns Monday night (Feb. 11) on Falcon Sports Radio Network stations. The "Voice of the Falcons" Todd Walker will be joined live at Fricker's by four guests for a full show. Head men's basketball coach Todd Simon will begin the show at 6 p.m. followed by head baseball coach Kyle Hallock. The show will hit the midway point with head softball coach Michelle Gardner joining while head gymnastics coach Brittney Emmons will wrap up the hour.
- Tickets Now On-Sale For Fifth Annual Battle Of I-75 Fifth Third Field GameTOLEDO, Ohio – The baseball programs at Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo will return to Fifth Third Field this season for the fifth annual game between the Rockets and Falcons played in Downtown Toledo. The baseball edition of the Battle of I-75 rivalry series was first played at Fifth Third Field in 2021. This year's game is scheduled for Friday, May 2 with a 7 p.m. first pitch.
- BGSU Head Baseball Coach Kyle Hallock To Be Inducted Into Kent State Varsity K Hall of FameKENT, Ohio - Kent State University announced their 2024 Varsity K Athletics Hall of Fame class on Friday (Nov. 22). BGSU Baseball Head Coach Kyle Hallock will be one of the eight inductees. A pitcher for the Golden Flashes from 2008-11, Hallock was named the 2011 MAC Pitcher of the Year and earned All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball and CollegeBaseballInsider.com.
- BGSU Announces “Campaign for Our Future” to Enhance Baseball FacilityBOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green State University Athletics is excited to publicly announce a campaign to raise funds to support enhancements at Steller Field. Through generous philanthropic gifts to the Steller Field Improvement Fund, donors will be able to support the installation of a new synthetic turf playing surface and perimeter fencing, enhancing the BGSU baseball team's ability to train and compete throughout the year.
- Hallock, Falcons Sign Eight On National Signing DayBOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University baseball team and Head Coach Kyle Hallock announced the signing of eight players to the team's Wednesday (Nov. 13) as part of National Signing Day. The Falcons will welcome two outfielders, two middle infielders, two left-handed pitchers, one right-handed pitcher and a catcher. All eight members of the class are ranked within the Top 50 Overall Players in their respective states/province.
