BGSU Baseball Lands Four On CSC Academic All-District® Team
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Four members of the Bowling Green State University baseball team have been named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA). Gavin Ganun, Luke Krouse, Landon Willeman and Garrett Wright all were named to the team with Wright being selected as a finalist for CSC Academic All-America status. The Academic All-America teams will be announced on July 1. As for BGSU, the four selections are the second-most for the Falcons in a single season in program history behind only last year's five recipients.
Of those named, Krouse is the lone Falcon on the list to receive the recognition both last year and this year. He is the first Falcon since Kyle Gurney to be named in consecutive years with Gurney being named in 2022 and 2023. Overall, he's just the third multi-year recipient in program history, joining Gurney and John Maroli, who was named three times from 1983-85.
Gavin Ganun, Senior, Health Science, 3.64 GPA
A native of Blissfield, Mich., Ganun appeared in 49 games for the Falcons this season with 45 starts while maintaining a 3.64 GPA in Health Science. Luke Krouse, Junior, Intervention Specialist, 4.00 GPA
From Antwerp, Ohio, Krouse has maintained a 4.00 GPA at Bowling Green thus far in pursuit of an Intervention Specialist degree. Just the third multi-honoree of this award in program history, Krouse appeared in 16 games for the Falcons this year with three starts. He posted a 2-1 record over 35.1 innings of work while striking out 25 batters. His two wins came against Middle Tennessee (Feb. 14) and Dayton (March 5).

He logged a career-high 52 innings this season while appearing in 14 games with 12 starts for the Orange and Brown. He struck out 47 batters, the second-most on the team, including a season-high six against Middle Tennessee on Feb. 14. He picked up his lone win of the season on March 16 against Akron.
Garrett Wright, Sophomore, BS in Criminal Justice, 4.00 GPA
From Massillon, Ohio, Wright concluded the semester with a 4.00 GPA in Criminal Justice. He was named the 2025 MAC Defensive Player of the Year as well as First-Team All-MAC. He played in the most games of any Falcon, appearing in 54 of the team's 55 games while reaching base in 52 of his 54 played. He broke three program records over the course of the season and finished the year as the only player in the MAC to hit above .400 and the only player in the MAC with an on-base percentage above .500.
