  • Seconds later in the first period, the Orange and Brown doubled the lead. Junior Jaden Grant took the puck into the zone and dropped it for graduate Tommy Pasanen. Pasanen took a shot from the blue line that rolled past the St. Thomas goaltender to make it 2-0.
  • The Falcons went into the first intermission with a 13-6 lead in shots. BGSU wasted no time scoring again 4:01 into the second period. Sophomore Ben Doran collected the puck from the right corner and and passed it to Pasanen at the point. Pasanen found junior Brett Pfoh at the top of the right circle and took a shot that beat the St. Thomas goaltender upstairs.
  • BGSU scored their fourth of the night off the stick of O'Hara on the powerplay. BGSU cycled the puck around the zone. Junior Dalton Norris passed it across to fellow defenseman sophomore Gustav Stjernberg. Stjernberg passed it to O'Hara at the top of the circle. O'Hara dragged the defender to the top of the slot before taking a shot that hit the back of the net.
  • The Tommies were able to sneak one past a dominant sophomore Cole Moore in the closing minutes of the game to make it 4-1.
