Bowling Green Ice Hockey Records First Conference Win in Dennis Williams Era
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (4-3-0, 1-0-0 CCHA) defeated the Ferris State Bulldogs (2-5-2, 1-2-0) with a 2-0 victory. BGSU starts the CCHA league play with a win for the first time since the 2022-23 season. Sophomore Cole Moore recorded his first shutout of the season and the second of his BG career. With tonight's win, the Falcons have their first conference win and first home win under head coach Dennis Williams.

How It Happened
- The game started back and forth with both teams having an opportunity on the power play but were unable to convert.
- With over one minute left in the first period, sophomore Gustav Stjernberg took a shot from the blue line. Graduate Seth Fyten was able to tip the puck to freshman Maxwell Martin. Martin was able to put the puck into the back of the net for his second career goal and second goal in as many series to make the lead 1-0.
- The Falcons and Bulldogs were unable to find the back of the net in the second period, with Ferris State able to take a slight lead in shots 11 to 8.
- Four minutes into the third period, the Falcons were able to find an insurance goal from sophomore Matvei Kabanov. Senior Ryan O'Hara found graduate Ethan Scardina in the neutral zone. Scardina and Kabanov entered the zone on a 2 on 1 and Scardina passed the puck to Kabanov who slid it in five hole to double the lead, 2-0.
