BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (5-7-2, CCHA 2-2-2) will close out the 2024 year with a Sunday afternoon match up against the RIT Tigers (4-14-1, AHA 3-8-1).

Match-Up History
Bowling Green leads the series all time with a 6-1-1 record overall. The last time these two teams met earlier this season on Oct. 19, 2024, the Falcons came away with a 2-1 overtime victory. Before the match-up earlier this season, the two teams met on Oct. 11, 2019 with the Tigers winning 3-2 in a neutral match-up. Before the 2019 loss, the Falcons held a 5-0-1 record spanning from Dec. 28, 1986-Dec. 30, 2016.

Opponent Outlook 

• The Tigers head coach Wayne Wilson (Bowling Green, 84 & '87) and associate head coach Brian Hills (Bowling Green, '83) both played for Bowling Green Hockey with Wilson captaining the 1984 national championship team. 
• The Tigers are coming off three weeks without a game with their last game being played on Dec. 7, 2024.
• Sophomore forward Tyler Fukakusa entered the holiday break tied for eighth nationally in scoring with 21 points and tied for second with 16 assists.
• Freshman Jakub Krbeck made a career-high 43 saves against the Falcons earlier this season

• The Falcons are coming off a conference sweep against the Northern Michigan wildcats before going into the holiday break 
• In the weekend, sophomore Brody Waters extended his team lead in goal to eight with two in the second game of the series
• Sophomore Adam Schankula appeared in his first game this season for the Falcons
• Waters is currently leading the team in power-play goals with six so far, which is good for third with the NCAA and first within the CCHA.
• The Falcons are leading the CCHA in face-off win percentage at 54.5%, while sixth within the NCAA
• Senior Ryan O'Hara leads the team with 11 assists and is tied for third within the CCHA in the category. 
• The Falcons will be hosting a cheap skates night against the RIT Tigers, which includes $3 GA tickets and discounted concession items, while supplies last
