BGSU Hockey To Host Final Regular Season Series against Lake Superior State

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (15-12-4) will host the Lake Superior State Lakers to close out the 2024-25 regular season. The Falcon can clinch home ice advantage in the CCHA Mason Cup Quarterfinals with three points against the Lakers. On Saturday night, the Falcons will be honoring their 11 seniors.

  • Senior Goaltender Christian Stoever is currently first in the NCAA and the CCHA in save percentage at .948. Stoever is currently leading the CCHA in saves per game at 30.92. Notably, the last time the Falcons faced Lake Superior State, Stoever was on fire saving 71 of 72 shots and recorded a .986 save percentage and a .501 GAA over a two games series weekend in 119:45 of action.
  • The Falcons currently sit tied in third in point percentage with Michigan Tech in third place in the conference. If the Falcons are to win in regulation on Friday night, they can clinch home ice advantage. The Falcons need a maximum of three points to clinch, but if the Falcons are unable to get three points, they can clinch based upon what occurs in the Michigan Tech and St. Thomas series. If Michigan Tech sweeps, Bowling Green will need no more points, if St. Thomas sweep, Bowling Green will need one point and if St. Thomas and Michigan Tech, the Falcons will need two points.

This comes after a season ago; the Orange and Brown returned all players on the roster who were eligible to return for the 2024-2025 season.
