Bowling Green Hockey Drops Game One of Series against Bemidji State
BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bowling Green Falcons (15-11-4, CCHA 11-8-4) fell on the road to the Bemidji State Beavers (12-15-4, CCHA 9-11-3) by a score of 3-2. In the loss, sophomore Ben Doran scored both goals for the Falcons, for his first multi-goal game of his career.

How It Happened
- Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first period, with the Falcons out shooting the Beavers nine to five
- Shortly, 1:52, into the middle period, the Beavers broke through on the power-play after junior Quinn Emerson went to the box for slashing
- Sophomore Ben Doran found the equalizer at 4:48 in the second. Redshirt Senior Eric Parker took a shot from the top of the left circle that was tipped by the stick of Doran. Doran's tip went past the Bemidji goaltender up high to even the score at one all.
- The tie would not last long as BSU scored another goal at 6:12 in the second to regain the lead.
- The Beavers were called for two penalties back-to-back giving the Falcons a 5 on 3 advantage halfway through the middle period. Doran scored his second goal of the night. The Falcons cycled the puck around the zone. Junior Dalton Norris passed the puck to senior Ryan O'Hara. O'Hara passed the puck across the blue line to Doran. Doran took a shot from the top of the left circle that went past a screened BSU goaltender.
- The Beavers scored the eventual game-winner at 6:13 in the third period, after the Falcons were called for two separate penalties back-to-back.
