Falcons Fly to Mankato for Conference Series against #15 Minnesota State Mavericks

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (5-5-1, CCHA 2-2-2) will travel to Mankato, Minn., for an in-conference match-up against the Minnesota State Mavericks (10-4-2, 5-1-2) on Friday and Saturday night.

Match-Up History
Minnesota State leads the series all time with a 27-11-5 record overall. The last time these two teams met on Jan. 20, 2024, the Mavericks came away with a 4-1 victory. The Falcons split the series a season ago with the Mavericks winning on Jan.19 at home with a 4-3 victory. BGSU will look for their first series sweep of the Huskies since Dec. 15, 2018, and their first win in Mankato, Minn., since Nov. 1, 2019.

  • BGSU is currently 1-3-1 against opponents that are ranked or receiving votes in the polls. 
  • BGSU is currently 4-0 in overtime and shootout games and is undefeated in games decided by one goal 
  • Senior Ryan O'Hara leads the team with nine assists and is ranked second within the CCHA in the category.
