Bowling Green Set For Trip To DePaul Monday In NIVC Great 8
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University volleyball team will continue their season on Monday (Dec. 9) against DePaul in the Great 8 round of the NIVC. The match will take place at DePaul's McGrath-Phillips Arena with an 8 p.m. EST, 7 p.m. CT start. The winner will continue on to the Fab 4 with a chance to advance to the NIVC Championship. The Falcons have registered two wins in the NIVC, both of which came at home. Bowling Green began the postseason with a victory over Binghamton on Wednesday (Dec. 4) at the Stroh Center. BGSU followed it up on Thursday (Dec. 5) by topping Wright State with both matches concluding in 3-1 final scores. The Falcons have now won 23 matches this year, the most during Coach Tomic's time at BGSU. This also marks the first time under Tomic the Falcons have recorded multiple postseason wins in the same and just the third time in program history.
This season, Bowling Green captured the 2024 MAC Championship, going 16-2 within conference competition with the only losses being in five sets. At the conclusion of the season, the Mid-American Conference announced the All-MAC awards for the season. In total, six different Falcons collected seven total awards. Lauryn Hovey was named MAC Player of the Year and First Team All-MAC while head coach Danijela Tomic was named MAC Coach of the Year. Alexis Mettille and Amanda Otten joined Hovey on the First Team while Jessica Andrews and Mia Tyler were named Second Team All-MAC.

- Jessica Andrews One Of 10 NCAA Student-Athletes Selected To Participate In VNLBOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University middle blocker Jessica Andrews has been selected to represent Canada in this year's Volleyball Nations League. Andrews is one of 10 NCAA student-athletes picked to play in the VNL this year, joining two players from Pitt and one from each of Charlotte, Florida, Illinois, Miami (FL), Oregon, Texas A&M and Washington State. In total, 18 countries are represented with 30-player rosters, creating a pool of just 540 athletes selected to participate. A vast majority of the athletes selected consist of current professional players. Andrews is the first Falcon and believed to be the first MAC player selected to compete.

Bowling Green is scheduled for a 6 p.m. first serve against Findlay. The match between the Falcons and Oilers will be free to attend with doors opening an hour before the match at 5 p.m. Fans looking to attend can utilize the main Stroh Center entrance by the bronze Falcon statue to access the venue.
