- Feb 512:00 PMCrocheting for a Cause LaunchGender Violence Prevention and Education Services presents the 2025 Crocheting for a Cause Launch! Join us on Wednesday, Feb. 5 from 12-3p in 203 Hayes Hall (CWGE Conference Room).Crocheting for a Cause is a yearly campaign to bring awareness to sexual violence and show support of survivors. GVPES supplies crocheting/knitting supplies and encourages participants to work at their leisure throughout February and March. All completed pieces are gathered in early April and added to the existing collection to form our Sexual Assault Awareness Month Yarn Storm.The Launch is a great time to pick up your supplies, meet other crafters, and learn more about our SAAM Yarn Storm. Don’t know how to crochet/knit but still want to participate? No problem! Staff will be on hand to teach the basics.If you are unable to attend, stop by 278 Hayes Hall Monday-Friday, 9a-5p to pick up supplies. Can’t make it over to Hayes?
