- All dayEmpty Place at the TableGender Violence Prevention and Education Services presents Empty Place at the Table to honor and recognize women and children in Northwest Ohio who have had their lives taken due to domestic violence. This project began in 1993 in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, and the display demonstrates the way domestic violence devastates a community and family. These victims of violence will not be forgotten.All stories have been provided by the Bethany House in Toledo, OH.The exhibit will be on display from October 1st to October 31st in Social House @ The Oaks, Carillon Place, Kreischer Sundial, and The Nest in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union.To individuals with disabilities, please indicate if you need additional services, assistance, or modifications to fully participate in this event either by contacting the CWGE or Accessibility Services at access@bgsu.edu or 419-372-8495. They can listen to specific problems, help explore solutions and introduce you to what it’s like to speak with a member of the staff.Please note: "Let's Talk" does not take the place of therapy, and consultations are not appropriate for urgent concerns or mental health emergencies. - 5:30 PM1h 30mLearn to Skate Fall I|MondayLearn to Skate lessons offered to ages three through adult, including beginner to advanced skill levels.Programming introduces the wide range of skating opportunities from figure skating and hockey to recreational skating.Additional opportunities available based on skating skill and interest. Sport helmet required.
