Falcons Pick Up CCHA Point in 1-1 Tie with Augustana
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (12-9-4, CCHA 8-6-4) collected a point in a shootout loss to the Augustana Vikings (14-7-3, CCHA 6-3-1). The Falcons have now played four straight games that have needed extra time at home with both games of the Bemidji State and Augustana series going past regulation. In the tie, graduate Seth Fyten scored his first goal of the season.

How It Happened
- The Falcons found the back of the net, late in the first period, at 18:51. Graduate Ville Immonen had the puck behind the net and found senior Jackson Niedermayer on the goal line. Niedermayer shot the puck in front to graduate Seth Fyten for the tip in to give the Falcons the 1-0 lead.
- Augustana got one back at the 11:25 mark in the second period on a short-handed odd man rush situation to tie the game at 1-1.
- Senior Christian Stoever and the Vikings goalie stopped all shots faced in the third period to force overtime for the fourth straight home game for the Orange and Brown.
- In the overtime, the Falcons went to the box for too many men on the ice with just under a minute and a half remaining. Stoever and the defense were able to hold the Vikings to force overtime.
- In the shoot-out, Augustana and the Falcons traded misses in the first two rounds, before the Vikings broke through on their third attempt. Bowling Green was unable to respond to the goal to force a fourth round.
