In this session, we’ll discuss key insights from Dr. Rebecca Pope-Ruark’s conversation on the Teaching in Higher Ed podcast, where she explores the roots of burnout and how we might begin to unlearn the habits that sustain it. Dr. Pope-Ruark is the author of Unraveling Faculty Burnout: Pathways to Reckoning and Renewal and director of Faculty Professional Development at Georgia Tech. We’ll use the podcast as a jumping-off point for dialogue around our own experiences and strategies for fostering well-being—individually and institutionally.Why you should attend:Recognize signs and systemic causes of burnout in higher education.
