- 10:00 AM45mPreparing for a Successful Academic Program ReviewJoin the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) for a virtual workshop on the process of Program Review at BGSU. Program Review, which is mandated by BGSU's Academic Charter and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), entails active engagement and contribution of the faculty. During this session, you will learn about the phases and requirements of the program review process. Program review resources, tidbits, and examples will be shared. This workshop will also feature two hands-on activities on data analysis and reporting.Why you should attend:Gain an understanding of the program review timeline and associated action items. Learn about components, guidelines, and templates for successfully completing your self-study, visit, and annual progress report. Engage in simulated program review activities. Journalist and author Vince Guerrieri will honor the work of the late Joseph P. Boyle, Jr., a beloved Waite High School history teacher and author of the five-volume series Toledo’s War (University of Toledo Press, 2024).About the Book and Award Boyle’s five-volume Toledo’s War is the definitive account of Toledoans’ WWII experience. It won the Local History Publication Award, Book Category, Independent Division.
