KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team came up short on the road against Kansas City on Saturday (Dec. 14) in an 85-77 final. The Falcons went to halftime trailing by just one, 46-45, staying within one up until 57-56. However, a 10-0 second half run for the Roos created space, maintaining the difference to the final. For Bowling Green, Javontae Campbell led the way with 27 points and five steals while Marcus Johnson tallied 22 points.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team will put their homestand on pause, traveling for their lone road game in the month of December. The Falcons will head west to Kansas City for a matchup with the Roos, the first trip to KC for BGSU in program history. The game between BGSU and Kansas City is scheduled for an 8 p.m. EST tip. The game will be available to stream on the Summit League Network, part of Midco Sports Plus. Todd Walker will also have the call on WFRO Eagle 99.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the men's basketball MAC Co-Players of the Week Monday afternoon (Dec. 9). This week's recipients consisted of two MAC Co-Players of the Week, including Bowling Green's Derrick Butler, a senior guard from Charlotte, N.C. Butler was joined in the honor by Miami (OH)'s Peter Suder. This marks the first award of Butler's BGSU career and he is the first Falcon to be named MAC Player of the Week this season.

Bowling Green head football head coach Scot Loeffler  and men's basketball head coach Todd Simon will join the "Voice of the Falcons" Todd Walker from 6-7 p.m. at the Bowling Green Fricker's. The Falcons will be hosting the Morgan State Bears, scheduled for a 2 p.m. tip inside the Stroh Center. The game will be the first of three home games in the month of December for the Orange and Brown. The game between the Falcons and Bears will be available to stream on ESPN+ with a radio feed from Todd Walker on WFRO Eagle 99.

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team topped New Mexico State at the Arizona Tip Off on Saturday (Nov. 30) in exciting fashion. NMSU led, 60-56, with 1:14 left in regulation, but an and-one by Marcus Johnson pulled BGSU within one. Javontae Campbell added two more at the line to swing the score in the Falcons' favor. On the defensive end, Derrick Butler swatted away his first block with Bowling Green, securing the win for the Orange and Brown, 61-60. The win marks the 150th of Todd Simon's head coaching career in the collegiate ranks. Bowling Green will now return home for four of their next five contests.
